Two Allegheny County nonprofits received a total of nearly $3 million in federal funding under the new health care law, Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced today.
Sto-Rox Family Health Council in McKees Rocks and Community Health Clinic in New Kensington each received $500,000 for operations. In addition, the Sto-Rox center received more than $1.9 million to serve more patients.
The grants are part of nearly $11 million awarded to community health centers across Pennsylvania.
