The Venango County Tea Party Patriots will hold their monthly meeting Saturday at King’s Restaurant on Route 8 in Reno.
Those wishing to share breakfast should arrive at 8 a.m., and the meeting will begin at 8:45 a.m.
The featured speaker will be Robert Guy, a historian and founder of Becoming America, which is an educational initiative celebrating the role of Pennsylvania in the founding of the U.S.
Guy, who will be dressed as a Continental Army soldier, will share information about the riflemen who served in the Continental Army and reflect on John Trumbull, who is known for his paintings that captured the battles and historical moments when the country was founded.
Guy will also announce information concerning the opening of a new museum in Franklin, a joint venture with the Venango County Historical Society, that will be dedicated to preserving paintings and historical artifacts.
Next month’s meeting will not be at Kings, but rather at “Headquarters” beginning at 9:00 a.m. , The address is 149 Summit Drive, Franklin. It will be a work session. So, come prepared to help out.
