The regular meeting of the Venango County Tea Party Patriots was held at King’s Family Restaurant in Franklin on Saturday, February 28.
Our guest speaker was Judge Cheryl Allen. Judge Allen currently sits on the Pennsylvania Superior Court, and is a candidate for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Cheryl held the attention of the capacity crowd with stories of her upbringing, her initial Democratic Party membership, and her decision to switch to the Republican party as she entered the political arena.
Cheryl was an elementary school teacher before going on to earn her law degree. She was appointed to the bench on the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas in 1990 and elected in 1991. In 2007 she was elected to the Superior Court.
Cheryl was passionate as she discussed the need for Truth and impartiality in our legal system. “If people who believe in Truth don’t get involved, then people who are committed to political expediency is what we get.”
Cheryl shared candidly her views on Life, the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, and “judicial tyranny.”
It was an excellent meeting and the audience was very appreciative of Judge Allen’s comments.
You can ready Judge Allen’s biography here.
Thank you to everyone who braved the bitter weather to come and hear Judge Allen – and thank you, Judge Allen, for coming to meet with us and share your inspirational story!
