Centers for Disease Control Director Dr. Thomas Freiden could not say whether his agency assisted the White House in preparing an estimate on the number of children in Maryland who supposedly would not get vaccines because of the sequester spending cuts, even though the CDC oversees the vaccination program that is used throughout the states.
Freiden made his remarks while being questioned before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies on March 5th.
