Urgent!!! – – – Rally at French Creek Council of Boy Scouts in Erie- We Need Your Help!
It’s time to step up to the plate and physically support the Boy Scouts before it’s too late. On May 23 the National Scout Council will vote on the resolution found at http://scoutingmagazine.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/proposed-membership- standards-resolution.pdf
Family Research Council and OnMyHonor.net is organizing rallies at the Boy Scout Headquarters all over the nation on Friday, May 17 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. The vote to change the policy will take place on May 23.
Pastor John Seth is working with us to stage a Rally of Support of the Current BSA policy on Friday, May 17 from 12:00 to 1:00 at the Frenchcreek Boy Scout Council Headquarters on Robinson Road. in Erie. We are trying to get the word out on as many email lists as we can and we need you to help let people know also. Most of all we need you to clear your schedules and participate in this very very important issue if you can.
I know this is short notice but we just found out about this last Sunday, made a trip to Erie to “scout” out the location, have checked with the executives for permission and that all takes time.
We will meet at the VCTPP parking lot, 149 Summit Dr., Franklin and will plan to leave for Erie at 10:00 am. Diane will be on hand to organize car pooling. So come ready to ride or drive if needed. Signs supportive of the BSA would be nice but not necessary. This may be a last ditch effort but miracles have happened before. If you know any Scouts or Scout Leaders that would be willing to speak to the issue at the rally for a maximum of 5 minutes, please let me know. Even some Eagle Scouts would be nice.
